304 Crockett Street, George West TX 78022
Co-Ordinator: Debbie Brown
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a ministry intended to train and prepare those adults who have not had the chance of receiving the sacraments at a young age. Those who want to join the Catholic Church are also educated in our faith to properly receive and accept our Catholic faith. There are regular classes held for adults who want to receive any of the sacraments which they could not receive when they were young.
Adult Confirmation classes are offered at St. George or through the Diocese of Corpus Christi. If you are needing only the Sacrament of Confirmation, please contact the parish office for more information at (361)447-2893.
Debbie is a retired teacher and coordinates our First Communion classes; teaches baptism, marriage, and OCIA classes; and along with her husband, Mark, promotes and coordinates the use of our FORMED resource app.
St. Brigid Women's Bible Study meets weekly on Mondays at 6:00 pm in the Conference Room to study and reflect on the Readings for the weekend's Masses. If you are interested in studying the scriptures more closely and meeting other women in the parish, this Bible Study is for you.
